Guidance for July - 7

Come into my eyes, and look at me through them, for I have chosen a home far beyond what eyes can see.

~ Rumi

Summer is well and truly here. We have reached the seventh month of the year and have passed the zenith of the sun. It seems that all inner forces are turned outwards at this time and the inner essence of all plants and trees becomes most evident in nature, taking shape and becoming visible.

This month in particular is about visibility in the human being. The quality you are bringing forward to the world is up to you. Do you make yourself transparent or do you play a show? Which sides of yourself do you show? Honestly check in with yourself for a moment. How much showing off, how many masks do you use to show the world an image of yourself as you would like to be seen? And how much do you make yourself truly transparent?

Whatever you feel inside you now, don't judge and evaluate, but gently allow yourself to do a little reality check. At this moment when you have passed the zenith, the invitation is to do a little retrospection and foresight.

How much of what you imagined for this year has happened or is manifesting as you expect?

Perhaps at this point you can adjust your own expectation a little closer to what is real and be a little gentler with yourself. The key to this is forgiveness: Forgiveness for everything that has happened so far this year, forgiveness for you, for your path, your being and your relationships. We may hear it and say it so often and yet it may seem so difficult for us humans.

Forgiveness is a key that releases us from the past. There are many different ways to hold on to the past, all of which create our suffering, like pride, anger, shame or bitterness. How much suffering in the here and now is real and true because of a certain event? How much is holding on to a certain story that is running on repeat inside? Let us break through our stories that operate in autopilot mode and lighten up a bit.

So many times we understand things only as our minds allow them to be, colored with so many filters or beliefs: “I am excluded”, “I don't get what I want”, “Everybody wants something from me”, and so on… In the light of these filters, our fears become real and our fellow human beings become enemies.

The seventh aspect of the Mul Mantra is Nirvair: “no enemies”. The acceptance that there is no enmity towards us helps us to forgive and to truly understand that we are rather creating our own hell or having the opportunity to heal and release the shackles of attachment to the past!

The quality that helps us here is to open our eyes to the whole spectrum of perception. The individual colors of the rainbow show us a spectrum of possibilities, and yet they are not the truth. The truth lies behind what we see, because our eyes filter what they want to see.

Close your eyes for a moment and open your heart's eye.

This applies to all our relations. How can we stop our mind and ask open questions in misunderstanding conversations that allow us to understand the other better? Are we ready to meet what is true and to acknowledge the limitations of our own mind? This is the step forward that we all have to take not only once, but always, again and again.

Take a moment and let your vision of the future slide closer to your truth.

Our aura, our magnetic field, can then radiate outwards what we have anchored inside. Open, transparent and freed from the attachments that keep projecting our suffering and history into the future.

Life is now.
Life is New.

Forgiveness is Great.
Are you with it?

Suggestion of the month

Write down, intuitively: What percentage of you is still holding on to the past?

Fill the number with life and write down situations, people, events that are keeping your suffering alive in the here and now, today.

Invite forgiveness into your heart. Your mind doesn't have to understand. Follow your inner wisdom. If you realize that you cannot forgive, forgive yourself.

Bathe in the possibility of forgiveness and the feelings that arise from it for a while. Make space for the new and for the experience to rewrite your own story.

Prithi Nivas
